A sad day

I was really hoping that Lindows would turn out to be something else. But today they announced Lindows 2.0, and there’s really nothing new here. A download portal where you (gasp!) can download GIMP, support for printing (wow!), Wi-Fi and Networking (which is cool, mind you, but it’s not exactly mind-breaking), and other minor things. Not exactly ground-breaking. No longer do they claim that they can run Windows apps. Too bad.

    What about the subscription fee? From looking over the site there doesnt seem to be any way to just download the software and play without handing over the $s, at least not anyway they have advertised.
