Who prints quality tees?

November 02, 2007 · 5 comments

I need a t-shirt printed with type, just letters, on a high-quality shirt, and with only the letters printed on.

You know how some of the t-shirt printers will put like a sheet of paper on top of the t-shirt, and you can see the whole outline of that “paper” as a textured layer on top of the t-shirt itself? That’s what I don’t want.

I want just the letters that I want to print to be what’s added to the t-shirt.

And I want to be able to choose the color of the shirt, and the color and the face of the type.

Does anyone know who can do that? And in small quantities, too, like maybe just 5?

I've previously used Vesterkopi, just bring your own shirt and graphics file. Not exactly cheap, though.

Hey Lars, glad to know you're using this time to think of possible marketing angles - fortunately, I've been keeping track of just such things; try: http://www.cafepress.com where you can print anything on just about anything of any quality of your choosing to whatever quality your needs desire.

Neighborhoodies (http://neighborhoodies.com/) does a great job with text on tees - text can be either screenprinted or embroidered. There are no quantity limits and I can vouch for the high quality of their products.

http://www.spreadshirt.com : Incredibly sharp quality printing, and really nice packaging as well. They have quite a nice online designer as well, and allow sleeve printing as well as front & back. The designer lets you free rotate text, too. Base price for a light cotton tshirt is US$8.90, or $12.90 for heavyweight cotton. From memory I think my UK order was distributed from Germany.
